Ceramic, blown glass and wood are the materials that define the work of Rosa Cortiella, The Glass Apprentice and Fusteria JVidal. The three, from their different disciplines, have known how to modernize the manual trade, elevating the craft to the field of contemporaneity, design and culture.

From MAT we want to value your work through this link that materiality gives us. For this reason, on June 29, we invited these three artists to participate in a round table where we discussed the keys and challenges of the trade of the ceramist, the glassblower and the carpenter. We talk about how the profession has evolved in the last decade and what is its future in the era of new digital technologies, AI and neo-crafts.

With this meeting, and joined by around fifty guests, we celebrate the inauguration of the 'Contemporary Crafts' exhibition with the most representative pieces by Cortiella, Vidal and The Glass Apprentice, which will remain in the MAT showroom throughout the month of July .
